hope for a better & brighter future
Helping Hand was started in 1955 by five Christian women determined to help the disadvantaged and show God's love through it all. Sixty six years later, the employees and fifteen board members of this wonderful non profit organization work tirelessly to uphold the standard and mission in which it was founded.
The Helping Hand of Humboldt was established under God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11 and works to spread that to all people, no matter their circumstance, where they've come from, and with no discrimination or judgement, there is always hope of a brighter future. Whether the Helping Hand of Humboldt has given someone a boost with their utility bill, school uniforms for a family's children or provided groceries for another week, hope of a brighter future is the message that lingers.
Helping Hand of Humboldt was awarded Non Profit of the Year in 2016 by the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce, and continues to work with local businesses, universities, and municipalities to raise necessary money to keep these charitable works possible.
